As an international Chinese proficiency competition sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the Chinese Bridge has brought together over 1.8 million young people from more than 160 countries since its launch in 2002. Following the passion for cultural communication, Jinyun has created Youth and Chinese Bridge, a short video series, to capture the touching moments of language exchange.

From writing his first Chinese character “Ren” (人, person) at the age of ten to standing on the grand stage of the Chinese Bridge at eighteen, Qi Rui (Ruggero), an Italian teenager, has built his Chinese learning journey stroke by stroke. In his heart, pioneers like Marco Polo and Matteo Ricci are not merely names in history books, but companions in spirit. Today, with his passion and dedication to the Chinese language, he is building a bridge of cultural exchange for a new era.
